The Environment

Our aim is to produce imaginative, ground-breaking designs that are more environmentally friendly.

 

Elements such as recyclability, compostability, lightweighting, reusability and material choice not only help the environment, but often to save money too.

However, the picture is not as clear as it is usually painted.

Many materials suppliers peddle quick-fix “snake oil” solutions, which can be very appealing to consumers and manufacturers alike, but are often no more environmentally friendly than the materials they replace, and sometimes are a good deal worse.

We have written a book on the subject as a guide to designers and specifiers,which is also essential reading for anyone interested in packaging (well, we would say that!).
